Forum: GratefulDead Subject: 50th anniversary of the U.S. invasion by the BEATLES

Local radio station was playing a syndicated top 50 Beatles tunes tribute to the Beatles invasion of 1964
So that got me thinking what was my favorite absolutely coolest Beatles tunes the Dead played.

My Top three:

Grateful Dead-Revolution
7.2.85

Grateful Dead-Lucy in the sky
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sWmkSC0ohVM
(Jerry's voice a little rough-but Good video)

Grateful Dead with Pigpen-HEY JUDE
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o0ms_1vkl18
(A stretch for Pig and the band but by the time they get to the NA, NA, NA's they are cooking.
PIG sings, " Why Don't you try walking on water"

The tune I wish they had done:

BEATLES- COME TOGETHER

(Great graphics)

This link is super helpful if you want to figure out your favorite Beatles via the Grateful Dead.

I'm so old I saw the Ed Sullivan shows live. The heck with covers. Let's here it for the originals! :)
